# RAND

Returns a random number.

#### Syntax <a href="#syntax.39" id="syntax.39"></a>

**RAND**(*limit*)

* *limit* - the random values are returned uniformly between 0 (including) and *limit* (excluding) - ***Value type**: number (optional, default: 1)*
